New Membership Fee Bands Launched
In response to approaches from a number of smaller companies, the Beauty Companies Association (bca) has introduced a tiered membership fee system to reflect the diverse range of company sizes within the professional beauty industry.
Bca is a not-for-profit trade association representing the interests of suppliers to the UK professional beauty industry and members include many of the industry’s most recognisable skincare, nail care and beauty equipment brands. Bca’s aim is to improve industry standards and give suppliers a united voice in order to effect change.
Replacing the former single tier membership fee, companies will now pay an annual membership fee based on turnover. Those companies with up to £1m annual turnover will pay £295 per annum; £1-3m will pay £395 per annum and £495 per annum for those companies with an annual turnover of £3m+.
The bca’s Chairman, Dean Nathanson, commented “Growing our membership across all company sizes is a key objective for 2019. It makes sense that companies pay a membership fee appropriate to their turnover. We have some very exciting initiatives planned for 2019 that will benefit companies of all sizes and, as such, we look forward to further establishing bca as the truly representative voice of the industry.”
